Visto che la terra \u00e8 ancora posseduta dall\u2019ente statale Battery Park City Authority, i residenti non pagano tasse sul loro immobile ma il PILOT \u2013 Payment in Lieu of Taxes. La zona ha il suo ente di preservazione il quale si occupa dei parchi qui siti. L\u2019attrazione principale \u00e8 la passeggiata lungo il fiume (boardwalk), lunga quasi 2km, unisci i diversi parchetti ed annessi servizi come parchi gioco per bimbi e zone riservate agli amici a quattro zampe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Molti appartamenti a Battery si affacciano verso la baia con viste sulla Statua della Libert\u00e0 e il New Jersey. Pattinaggio, ciclismo e corsa sono tutti passatempi che possono essere intrapresi comodamente se si vive qui. Fra i ristoranti preferiti della zona ci sono: North End Grill, PJ Clarkes e Blue Smoke.
