Newcomers drive the rent hikes in South Florida

Interest in relocating to Miami has tripled since last year and now ranks higher than any other destination in the U.S., according to a new report from real estate website Redfin.com, based on a sample of about 2 million users who searched for homes across 112 metro areas.

It is the first time ever that Miami topped Redfin’s monthly rankings, which measures net inflow from other metro areas. However, Miami has been consistently in the top 10 since the list was created in 2017.

Jared and Ivanka paid $24M for Indian Creek estate

Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner acquired a waterfront South Florida home — a six-bedroom, 8,510-square-foot mansion — for $24 million, The Real Deal has learned.

The 1.3-acre estate, with manicured landscaping, reflecting pools, a double staircase, a resort-style pool and a large dock, hit the market in October for nearly $25 million.

Work to begin on Miami Beach’s Tallest Building

Terra, GFO Investments and New Valley plan to break ground this month on Five Park, a 48-story, roughly 280-unit tower at 500 Alton Road that will become the tallest building in Miami Beach at 519 feet upon completion in 2023.
