Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner acquired a waterfront South Florida home — a six-bedroom, 8,510-square-foot mansion — for $24 million, The Real Deal has learned.

The 1.3-acre estate, with manicured landscaping, reflecting pools, a double staircase, a resort-style pool and a large dock, hit the market in October for nearly $25 million.

Extension To Design District and Monorail

Miami-Dade commissioners voted to accept funding from the cities of Miami and Miami Beach to pay for engineering studies needed for the Beach Corridor rapid transit project.

The two cities will contribute $417,000 towards the cost of the study.

The Beach Corridor includes a few separate projects. Completion of the Monorail is expected in 2026.

Raleigh condo project approved at 175 feet.

A key Miami Beach board approved a glassy condo near the Art Deco-style Raleigh Hotel in Miami Beach after the New York developer agreed to trim the height from 200 feet to 175 feet. The Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board voted to approve plans to restore and renovate the Raleigh and neighboring Richmond and South Seas hotels, in the 1700 block of Collins Avenue. The project is expected to cost $750 million.

Condo sales fall in Miami-Dade

Condo sales in Miami-Dade County began to drop last week.

A total of 61 condos sold for $41.5 million last week, amid the coronavirus pandemic. That is compared to 102 units that sold for $54 million the previous week. Condos last week sold for an average price of about $680,000 or $397 per square foot.

The most expensive closing was at Fendi Chateau Residences in Surfside. Unit 806 sold for $6.9 million, or $1,538 per square foot, after 510 days on the ...

Miami-Dade orders all non-essential businesses closed due to coronavirus

Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez has expanded his order of businesses that must close — and those that can remain open — during the coronavirus pandemic. All malls and casinos will have to shut down. Construction sites, hotels and banks can remain open.

Medical facilities, grocery stores, gas stations and restaurant kitchens can stay open for pick-up and delivery. The announcement is effective Thursday at 9 p.m.
